The Vehicle Code lists a number of prohibited manufacturer actions giving rise to civil damages including, but not limited to, unreasonable rejections of proposed buy-sells, unlawful requirements for Dealers to make material facility modifications, refusals to provide a deceased Dealer Principal’s heirs a reasonable time to operate the dealership, and discriminatory allocation practices. In addition to the specific unlawful acts set forth in the Vehicle Code, there are several potential causes of actions available to Dealers for damages claims against manufacturers.
